Monad is a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain capable of processing 10,000 transactions per second with 1-second block times.

It uses parallel execution, asynchronous processing, and a custom MonadDB to deliver massive scalability while preserving decentralization and full EVM bytecode compatibility.

Raised $225 million, led by Paradigm, with participation from DragonFly Capital, Electric Capital, and Shima Capital.

Public testnet launched on February 19, 2025.
